AGAC adopts a new strategic plan and a digital strategic plan

In January 2025, AGAC’s Board of Directors adopted its new five-year Strategic Plan, which will guide the Association’s actions and ambitions until 2030. Developed over the course of 2024, this process has enabled the Association to define clear areas of focus, priority objectives, and a renewed vision for the future.

At the heart of this approach is the desire to update AGAC’s mission and respond to the needs of its members. Consultations, discussions, and shared reflections have made it possible to build a structured and evolving plan that can adapt to rapid changes in the contemporary art sector, particularly in the digital context.

In addition, the Association has also developed a Digital Strategic Development Plan. This plan provides a framework and formalizes the Association’s current and future initiatives in terms of transformation and the adoption of digital tools. This dual plan ensures consistency between the overall vision and concrete actions, while offering the flexibility needed to respond to the challenges of the coming years.

With these new directions, the AGAC reaffirms its commitment to its members, its role in supporting the visibility of Canadian contemporary art galleries, and its ability to evolve in a constantly changing ecosystem.

The Association warmly thanks the Canada Council for the Arts and SODEC for their significant support in these projects. AGAC would also like to acknowledge the contributions of Marc-Olivier Gilbert, Digital Strategist, and Pierre Bernard Dow Blanchet, Senior Strategic Advisor, who assisted AGAC in developing the Digital Strategic Plan and the Vision 2030 Strategic Plan.
