Exhibition Walls and Furniture Rental

AGAC now offers an exhibition furniture and wall rental service!

Ideal for temporary exhibitions or display booths, our presentation walls are made up of panels 2 or 4 feet wide, assembled at an angle to produce self-supporting structures of varying sizes and shapes.

Furniture available for rental includes flat or angled plinths, benches to punctuate your exhibition spaces, and self-supporting signs.

Exhibition Walls Details

Composition and use

All walls are painted white and inspected before and after every rental. It is forbidden to paint the walls, except for white touch-ups. When hanging, please use drywall screws (1 3/4”) or nails.

All walls are treated with flame-retardant products to meet the standards of the Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal.

The exhibition walls are available in 4 different formats, all 2 1/8″ thick:

Installation Plan

The walls are not freestanding, but are supported by being assembled in U, H, S, T or L shapes. It is therefore essential that your installation plan includes cross structures. The longer a wall is, the longer the cross-wall must be to support its weight and remain stable.

Rates

For safety reasons, the transport and handling of the walls must be undertaken by the technical team of the Contemporary Art Galleries Association, at the renter’s expense. Transport and handling will take place between 9am and 5pm. Special requests for weekends, holidays or evenings may incur additional charges. The minimum rental fee for 15 walls or less, including transport and handling, is $4,260.

Rates vary according to the duration of the rental, the technical difficulty of the installation plan and the format and quantity of walls required.

Furniture Details

Plinths

Flat and Rectangular Plinth

Flat plinths are used to display artwork or objects. Each plinth is painted white and inspected before and after every rental. It is forbidden to drill holes or paint the plinths, except for white touch-ups. Plinths are for indoor use only.

Angled plinths are used to display signage. Each plinth is painted white and inspected before and after every rental. It is forbidden to drill holes or paint the plinths, except for white touch-ups. Adhesive paper or vinyl can be applied, but all signage must be removed prior to pickup. Plinths are for indoor use only.

Signs

Freestanding signs

Freestanding signs are used for signage. Adhesive paper or vinyl can be applied but all signage must be removed prior to pickup. It is forbidden to drill holes or paint the signs. The freestanding signs are reserved for indoor use only.

How to request a quote

There are two ways to request a quote: you can fill out the online form or send an email request to info@agac.ca.

In both cases, you must include:

Name of contact person, email address, phone number
Name of company
Name of event
Required equipment: number and format of panels needed, furniture, etc.
Installation plan and/or description of the intended setup
Setup and takedown dates
Delivery address
Information about the accessibility of the venue (parking, presence of freight elevators, stairs, ceiling heights, etc.)
Contact information for a point person during the event (phone number and email address)
Billing address for your organization

Any request for a quote made less than 30 days before the start of the rental period will be automatically rejected.
